Ecke Hedberg studied at the Art Academy in Stockholm. Considered by some to be one of the more significant landscape painters of the early 20th century, he never got much recognition. Together with more famous artists such as Prins Eugen, Nils Kreuger, Carl Larsson and Anders Zorn he participated in exhibitions both in Sweden and abroad. He is represented at the Gothenburg Art Museum, the National Museum in Stockholm and Länsmuseet Gävleborg.
