Artist Alexander Langlet was an equestrian enthusiast and is best known for his paintings of horses. In 1939 he became chairman of the Gothenburg Artists' Club, a position he held for many years. He was one of the initiators of the art magazine Paletten, founded in 1940. Langlet is represented at, among others, at Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
